All of my cries. Man oh man.
Shunsui's already in a world of hurt. And he acknowledges to his opponent that the captains really have no idea what they're doing, but were essentially waiting to complete Kurotsuchi's analysis. Though Matsumoto got the word out to some of the other captains, Shunsui admits some of the "captains" - including Byakuya, Hitsugaya, Soifon, and etc. - served as "sacrifices" in order to try to get an advantage over the enemy. When even Shunsui struggles right off the bat, you know it's bad, right?
Nii-sama's desperation is breaking my heart, and Renji's stupidity here kind of irks me. Ripping out your bankai immediately after your captain gets his bankai stolen is not the hottest idea. (I think part of my irritation is that I'd hoped Kubo would've grown Renji out of that impulsiveness a bit - which always seems to get him annihilated - but maybe not?) I still trust that Byakuya has a plan, but the desperation is here seems palpable. I worry for them.
It's interesting to catch glimpses into what's going on elsewhere. We see the other captains heading into action. (Kenpachi! Shinji!) And we see Akon - love Kubo bringing these characters back into the fold - deciding that dammit, he's getting in touch with Ichigo whether Yama-jii likes it or not.
The potential intervention of Ichigo surprises me, though I suspect it might still come a little late. The fact that even Shunsui's having trouble leads me to believe Kubo's setting us up for some massive destruction, though I suspect there will be some outliers: Soifon has shunko, nii-sama's fairly adept at fighting without bankai, and I imagine Yama-jii and the rest of the crew have something in mind. That said, with Shunsui wounded, nii-sama yelling (yelling! ;_;), Akon desperate enough to try to reach out to Ichigo....
...it's not good, right?
