New Bleach chapter out
Jesus, I love Urahara. So much.
Sometimes Kubo's comedic touch is just right.
Absurd scenes always make me chuckle and there's nothing really more absurd than Urahara cheerfully holding Ichigo's substitute badge while the world ends and Akon has an aneurysm. For just a brief while we get to leave all the oppressive darkness of SS behind and find that Ichigo is whaling on his new opponent and we get the added joy of hearing Urahara report on it like it's a sport.
Also, this chapter reminded me of why I love Urahara (and question him) so damn much. He obliterated SS Fabulous in one fell swoop without even having to take out his zanpakuto. Of course, he claims here that it's because Ichigo "weakened" him, but I doubt it seriously, which begs the question - why did Urahara let the fight go on so long? Why did Urahara let Ichigo fight at all? There's still so much I consistently wonder about his character - including about his ties to the Spirit King and the things he won't reveal and the motivations behind his actions - that I'm curious to see where Kubo will go with it.
And now it looks like Ichigo's headed back to SS, which I didn't expect. I wonder if he'll arrive in time? He might, and SS might have more time to prepare for a new onslaught - or he might not, and might arrive to find someone wounded. I'm not sure Ichigo can fight off all of them at once. Will he have Espada help, or will the Zero squad appear - or will Soul Society be in ruins by the time he gets there??
