You moron, this is gorgeous. I say moron in an ironic sense, since you are patently not a moron, and gorgeous in a completely unironic sense. Love the pathos and the minimal wordplay, and the desperation underlying this. It packs a huge punch for such a short piece. You should force yourself to write more often if only for gems like this.
