i woke up today with a mission. by 5 o'clock p.m. - PST, my dreams of "telling-off" my boss were brutally deflated, as the hustle and bustle of the stationery world during the holidays simply didn't allow any time for me to do so

Honestly, if you just say -simply, with no rancor- exactly what you just wrote: for 4 years, you have been 'shot-down, overworked, under-appreciated and disrespected. most of which happens on a daily basis.' and the time has come for you to leave. NO MORE. If she protests, don't let her: Just say NO MORE Leslie. It's time for you to leave. ALWAYS remember she cannot make the situation better, no matter what she promises.
