because I am in such a bad mood over Les Mis (FUCK YOU TOM HOOPER) and Downton Abbey (FUCK YOU JULIAN FELLOWES) that you would not even believe.

So yes. Trying to regain my good mood, and it helps a lot. Thank you, friends.

Before I go see it, what was so terrible about Les Mis?

ah, so, only having a sorta vague passing familiarity with the musical other than having prepared several of the songs back when i was doing vocal training, and having found myself crying both times i saw the preview... i guess i'm safe :)

sorry it wasn't what you were hoping/expecting.

Goddammit, if Dan Stevens wanted off the show, they could have invented an Ongoing Legal Problem with the bankrupt Canadian railroad that ate all of Cora's money, sent Matthew to sort it out thinking it would take two weeks at most, and then have him be Unexpectedly Detained, and he'd be off the show but NOT DEAD DAMMIT.

Also, a friend pointed out that it's too early for Mary to have a boy, because in 18 years he'll be smack in the middle of WWII. Let this one be a girl and the son and heir come along late enough that he'll be SAFELY TOO YOUNG in the next war.

I'm done. Daisy should move in with Mr. Mason, and Thomas should get a job as a hotel concierge and finally get a proper boyfriend. And that accident NEVER HAPPENED.

DONE.

Gah! I hadn't even thought about WWII. Shit shit shit.

I'm concerned because Matthew really was the heart of the show. I can't wait to see how they deal with his death, but oh god it's going to hurt as much next season as seeing his death did watching that episode tonight.

Not even watching next season. Tell me if Thomas gets a boyfriend. Or if Daisy moves out. I'll check out an episode for that.

You'll need it. And things to throw at the screen at the end.

Downton Abbey (FUCK YOU JULIAN FELLOWES)

Just watched the ep.

OK... yeah, it was a downer ending and that sucked. But we knew the actor was leaving, and I was pretty sure the character wouldn't get a divorce... so how else were they going to do it??

Create New Legal Complications in Canada with that bankrupt railroad, send him to sort it out (he IS a lawyer), have him not bring her because he expects it only to be a week or two and she's still recovering, and then have the Complications get more Complicated and detain him for the rest of the season. with the occasional cable sent to let her know he's still okay but it'll be a while longer.

And how long would they keep him On The Bus? Since it's unlikely that The Bus Would Come Back, it likely would've ended with a Bus Crash anyway! :p
