Why 2012?

Mayan Calendar ends in 2012. Mayan's have a pretty flawless system in predicting things and December (i forgot the day i think 21 or 23) 2012 is doomsday. As well as more predictions in ancient times all over the world from all kinds of religions and stuff :P I didn't do much research on it though. It freaks me out too much =_=
