So ... has he seen this? What does it mean - that he's giving up playing or that he's just not playing one match? Maybe the coach or someone on the team pissed him off?

Yeah, he read it and still insisted on doing things "his way" until today when the real world smacked him in the face.
We told him that if he wasn't going to play football he would have to get a job. So, this morning he went to work with his Dad...that's all it took. This evening he called his Coach and said he'd be at weight training tomorrow afternoon right on time! LOL.

Work experience is a wonderful thing! So does this mean, playing football will get him into college? Or is he actually going to play football for a living?
