how small is the world?

Normally, when you sit next to someone on an airplane and have a chat, you don't really expect to see that person ever again. Well, I sat next to a girl on an airplane, had a chat with her, then today went to a coffee shop near home and ran into her. After laughing at this coincidence, we had another really long chat about literature, politics

a voobshe, ona ochen' interesnii chelovek - zakonchila berkeley with history degree, i uzhe goda 2 prakticheski bez pereriva ezdit po miru. nedavno ezdila v kitai na 5 nedel prepodavat' angliiskii. tam s nei prikluchilas' zabavnaja istorija, gde kakoi-to narodnii celitel' bez jejo vedoma postavil ei banki. potom ona dolgo lubovalas' sinimi kruzhochkami na spine :)

And I really realized how much the world is small when Gloochie turned out to be a friend of someone I served with and Finik turned out to be Marat's childhood friend.
Yep, I definitely moved to a whole new world, not knowing anybody... ;)
