Huh. Another name for a strawberry blonde is a "venetian blonde" (as opposed to a venetian blind, I guess.)

Anyhow before I got distracted by the 500 wiki articles, I clicked thru to say...

A five year old recently showed me that I'd been eating strawberries wrong my entire life.

I would eat the tip, then another bite up to the broad end, and then you'd get that last bite that would either be sour, or tasteless.

The five year old showed me that you take off the green bit, and eat from the broad end. You get enough of the sweet middle part that it overpowers the sour/tasteless bit, and then the second and third bites are sweet and tasty too!

Maybe you knew this already, but for me, it was revolutionary. I'd been doing it the wrong way for 40 years, and now strawberries get even better.

I always either taken off the green bit or ate everything while holding it at the green bit, I didn't know it make it sour or tasteless o.O

It's more that the end near the green bit just doesn't taste as good as the other end. If you are eating it all in one bite, you probably won't notice that the broad end can sometimes be a bit sour or tasteless. I always ate them in two or three bites (I guess this is why a five year old and I have so much in common when eating strawberries,) and the last bite would be the broad end, which often was kinda bland. Steffan = doing it wrong.

What geographic location near you could be much cooler if its name were modified to contain the word strawberry, and what would this new name be?
There's s village near where I live in England, Berry Brow. Now don't tell me that that name just isn't asking for a little makeover :D
