Writer's Block: Deal or No Deal

Expecting me to sacrifice anything of myself , my dreams, my thoughts, or my life while I so choose not too.

Harsh? Too bad. Maybe I'll change my mind later. Maybe not.

:P

I guess my thing on stuff like that is a relationship should not fulfill you, it should make you better. You should fulfill you.

A lot of people lose that so-called 'idealism' when they enter into a relationship, but I agree with you- you must always be true to yourself. Of course there will be compromise by both parties, but in a loving relationship, it won't BE sacrifice. You'll want to do it of your own volition. There are so many paths to the future, if you turn from one option there will be hundreds more to make you just as happy.

Oh,compromise and understanding are one thing, I totally agree. I don't believe in being in a relationship with a clone. I don't want someone who just agrees with me, I want someone with different ideas who respects me. I'm thinking from limited experiences, with people missing opportunities to placate someone else or changing whings they weren't inclined to comfortably change.

And there's always those lovely people who have relationships to have them.

But yea, I have a limited world view as of now. If anything is sure, it is what I believe now will change.

Yeah, I wasn't so much giving you advice as ranting about people who don't see it that way, haha. Though you haven't had too much experience yet, as you say, you're a smart girl. I think that adaptation to college life and beyond will come easily to you.

Speaking of which, when are you coming to visit SF State??

Actually, we're going to be at San Fran in a couple weeks, and Acadec will be at Sac State on the 13th/14th/15th/16th.

I agree with this completely; you speak a lot of wisdom, even if you are speaking hypothetically.
