[poem] Colours

Feb 18, 2011 10:59

So, a few months ago, I decided to get back into writing poetry. Since then, I've written about three, four poems. And now, the latest addition, written just last night (before I went downstairs to watch Justin Bieber fail in CSI). Hehe~

Colours

Green with envy;
Purple with rage;
Flushed red cheeks,
eyes filled with lust.

A lonely depression
as blue as the sea.
An explosion of white:
Shattered hope, broken dreams.

A sunny yellow mask
Hiding one’s feelings within;
The sun-kissed brown
of artificial skin.

And the terrifying truth;
That unforgiving tint;
Indecisive black orbs
That swallow you in.

Oh, there are many colours to a person.
