XD Oh you guys went to Wizard World too~? Greg Horn's really nice! I talked to him for a little bit and learned where he started out besides what's mentioned in his art book~ There were a bunch of amazing artists *_* Probably more on Saturday because that's when more stuff was going on! I didn't get to meet my hero Michael Turner, but I got to see him *_*
Yeah! It was pretty awesome... hookups are sweet. But yeah, I love Greg and I think he's so funny based on his comments on his artwork and not just because he's THE Emma Frost guy.<3<3<3
But you know how it is... too shy. I did make eye contact with him though and just ran away in my mind.
Ahh, disappointment in artwork due to comparison... I totally know the feeling. I did crappy work on my botanical project... Got a B though. =/
When I look back on that class, I think taking an intermediate drawing class and retaking rendering would've helped. What happened had passed. All you can do is look forward and try to fix the mistakes that occured in the previous project with the current ones.
Usually the eye project is one of the best ones where everyone really improves. Here's what I did:
A few flaws in mine were the colors for the background served little purpose to the color relationships in the subjects, the lack of form and depth on the figures, and the lack of intense colors. George would always write me off for having too much muted colors. ^^; I hope this helps you for this project... I have my shirt project somewhere... I'll post it when I can find it for your reference.
