Sookie, please don't be a stupid bitch like Bella.
Watching all this blood-sucking made me think of good old Eric and Sookie and now often they swap blood in the series. It's almost as many times as Harry and Hermione swap wands! And like that similarity, it is subtext that people may find easy to write off as nothing... but in reality it's really something.
People are sucking blood all over this season. Eric gives blood to Lafayette, Bill to Sookie, Bill gave blood to Sam, Lorena to Bill, Eric to Hadley, Franklin to Tara, and that's just the ones I can think of off the top of my head. Aside from the silly Bill/Sam thing and Tara's erotic little nightmares and the obvious connection between maker and childe, no one has the kind of connection they display. Plus, of course, in the 1st season Bill created Jessica. None of these report the kind of connection that exists between Eric and Sookie from just a few drops. Maybe because it was fate? Before they've even exchanged a single word or even met, Sookie can feel Eric's mind and has a flash of his thoughts- something that had never happened around a vampire before or since. They were already vibrating on the same wavelength. The blood bond just deepened something to a new level that would have existed already.
I loved, loved, loved the 1st chapter of Book 11 that has been released by Ms. Harris and the way Eric arrives; frankly if Sookie decides to dump him over the blood bond she's a fucking moron. It's not magically going away anytime soon and who the hell doesn't want a man that can sense your emotions and give you what you need when you need it, be it affection, distance, strength, joy, or just awesome sex? I'm warning you Miss Stackhouse, don't be a Bella Swan on me now. Don't be a dumb bitch!
(My actual love, in 99% of cases, is for Jacob more than Bella in any given situation, and I like her because she's what makes him happy, not because I enjoy her character. I dislike her very much. This is very different from SVM/TB where I love Sookie and Eric's characters for their own merits, and the combination of their pairing just makes things ignite.)
Also I swear to dog I will make an actual post in this journal about my life at some point and not just fandom. Honest honest honest.
