This is aliaspiral's fault. And literarylemmings.
Hana Kimi has a girl. Pretending to be a boy. At an all boys school. It is cute and absolutely insane. And also completely in japanese.
I.
Am.

Love.
Hense... ficlet.
Sekime existed on the periphery.
It's not that he wanted to, but he just wasn't as outlandish as the rest of the boys at this school. He wasn't vibrant and outgoing like Nakatsu. He wasn't a natural leader like Namba. He didn't have that super-secret, sexy brooding thing that Sano wore like a second skin.
He was just a guy who liked to run. Who liked girls. Who liked school.
Sekime tried to fit in. He inserted himself at the crowded tables. He offered to help his classmates with their studies. He even suggested kicking the soccer ball around the field after class.
It wasn't as though they snubbed him. In fact, they almost all usually took him up on his offer. It was just that, the moment he was out of sight, it was like they forgot who he was.
Until Ashiya Mizuki.
When Ashiya set eyes on him, he saw him. There was a sincerity about the other boy that Sekime instantly respected.
He held back, quiet and a little unsure, as Ashiya insinuated himself into the elite circle of the popular boys and figured that there went his one chance at a real friend in this school.
But even then, every day, he had a smile for Sekime and sometimes a kind word or jest. Even when Nakatsu was going supernova and Sano was colapsing of exhaustion, Ashiya saw him.
And Ashiya never forgot his name.
