"Gene Hunt" is Phillip Glenister from "Life on Mars," the UK version. It's fantastic! John Simm is in that, too -- if you watch Doctor Who, you'll recognize him as The Master, from the seasons with David Tennant.

Oh cool! I'm just watching the US version of Life on Mars right now (because Jason O'Mara is cuuute!). The UK version is next on my 'to watch' list.

I haven't actually watched much of the Dr. Who reboot (mea culpa), but I intend to... after I finish this story. And then there's that one... heh.

Speaking of finishing a story, what's your availability looking like for early June? *uses puppy dog eyes*

Now there's a film worth seeing! Especially with the Gene Genie! (I passed on the American version, which I first thought was a remake of the tv series. I said I didn't want to go because I couldn't imagine anyone but Diana Rigg as Emma Peele. Tony & the boys had a good laugh over that!)

You're no comics geek, that's for sure! It was a lot of fun -- much better than the awful movie that was made from the wonderful Emma Peel/John Steed show!
