My mom won this iPod shuffle at her work, and I've spent about an hour trying to get it so I can put things on it. Unfortunately it requires iTunes *shudder* and Quicktime to be installed, which seems to fuck up my computer every time I install it. I'd agree that Ipods lack a certain something. They can be easy to use when you utilize them only on one computer, but they start getting confusing if you have multiple computers that you utilize. ie home desktop to work compy to lap top. I find it starts getting confusing because you have to make sure that your music doesn't get wiped out. That sucks that your having so much trouble installing the programs. Thats one of the reasons I like mine. I can take it anywhere and plug it into any computer and play it off of any music player without worrying about losing any songs. I can transfer music and do just about whatever I want. The thing that I do like better about the ipod though is the user interface off of the computer. It is better then what I have. Although with the shuffle there is not screen so thats something that would piss me off. Nothing that tells me whats playing or allows me to select a song.
