Awesome? Wow. I think I'm blushing. I'm so very happy you enjoyed it, and thank you for telling me.

" “You saw what, exactly,” she asked provocatively, speedily unbuttoning her shirt. “These?” she grinned, flashing him. He groaned, covering his eyes in mock offense.

“Yes, those. I could see almost all of them, through your wet top.” "

I loved the easiness between them. All playful and hot sex. And so much fun to read. And then you snuck up some meaning on me. I never thought Veronica would be afraid to go rapelling, badass girl who tracks down criminals? But everyone has their quirks, hehe. But the fear in that paragraph was so real and seemed to run so deep, and when I found out why, damn it clicked right into place and made so much sense. It made it all the more beautiful when she conquered all those demons with Logan, not only trusting him but making sense of their crazy past. Good job!

"They walked to the edge, clipped on, and stepped backward. With a final wink, Veronica let herself fall, trusting he would be there to catch her. "

Best part.

Oh, wow. You have no idea how much your comment means to me. I worked so hard to get the meaning in there, and I am so so happy you got it. *does happy dance* And the banter between them - it's really my favorite part of the whole thing. Well, that and sleeping out-of-doors, but that's because I love sleeping outside. Thanks so much for reading, and giving me your opinions.

There's a fine, fine line between smut and romance and you walked it well :)

There are so many sweet moments and just as many hot ones. I think the Mile High Club bit was my very favorite. I was wondering the whole time why they hadn't joined on their way to NC!

Great job... and a raft? Unusually yummy watercraft!

Damn! I wish you could have seen the smile on my face when I read your comments - they made me so happy. I'm glad you liked the Mile High Club - it was actually written for the beginning of the piece, but my betas convinced me it would work better if V & L actually got to the camp site sometime within the first 20 pages. LOL. I'm sure they were right; it works well at the end. (I hate when they're right and I'm wrong.) Thank you so much for reading and taking the time to respond.

This was just lovely...and so hot! I'm just glad I happened to find this. How do you find the time to write such great fics AND be everyone's beta? You're like Wonder Woman! :)

I'm really not (Wonder Woman), but thank you so much for even thinking it. I'm delighted you found this, and happy you loved it. I love to beta - I always find something that inspires me. I'm a slow, tedious writer, though, and I barely manage to finish one fic a month. Of course, this one just didn't want to end. LOL.

I really enjoyed how you put the actual relationship moments and the smutty ones in balance in this fic. You were right -- L&V have a lot of issues to work out and they did it well here. You showed well how their tasks (the rafting and the rapelling) allowed them to open up to each other. And well, the sex was pretty hot -- although falling into the cold water from that raft is just a little bit cruel. But I still laughed. -- AC

Ah, yes. My water fixation *grinning* I'm glad you laughed. I'd intended to have them fall in sooner, but when I realized how cold the river would be, I knew they'd have to finish first and then fall in. And I'm so thrilled you enjoyed them working out their issues - I'm not good with angst, but I still wanted to write something addressing some of the roadblocks to their relationship. Thanks so much for reading and telling me what you thought. It makes the effort worthwhile.
