well, my goal for the summer is to memorize all the vocabulary words in my textbook that i'll be using for autumn. i currently have about 6 chapters left to do, and am learning around 80-150 words per day, and there's around 80 days of summer left so i can definitely do it

Sounds like you're working really hard and doing awesomely well. 80-150 words is CRAZY--the memory training is definitely working for you. :) And moving out of the house is certainly a motivation!

haha, but moving out seems so far away (if nothing changes, it'll still be at least 2 years from now) so it's not actually helping me that much. that's always been my problem... if i could just keep various things in mind and seriously believe that if i do this or that i'll definitely get money and be able to move out for real, then i'd have done something by now, but it all seems so far-fetched and then i never finish anything...

it's really satisfying knowing that i can learn so many words so fast though - i can probably get through both the textbooks that we'll be using over the course of the next school year, this summer, if i can keep it up. at this speed i go through one chapter's worth of vocab every 3 days or so!
