Not knowing that she would be with Crowley in this same place at some other point in the night, Jonathan leads her to the Japanese Garden.

"You don't know?" he asks her, tucking the card into his pocket, "He's here. In Tropolis. Duce summoned him, I just saw him this week at a coffee shop in East Eden. And he'll only be angry if they left permanent marks. Otherwise he'll just wonder why you didn't call."

Phoebe shakes her head slowly. "They didn't leave permanent marks." She smiles. "I'm glad he's close, and yeah, he told me a long time ago no one was allowed to harm me but him." She sighs. "When he asks, I'll just tell him the truth. I've never lied to him before, or been able to hide things from him."
