So Japan lost to Netherlands in the end. I was still hoping for a miracle to happen at 91 minute. But....
If only Kawashima could have tried to punch the ball away instead of attempting to slap it away. A punch might have be strong enough to deflect it at a large enough angle for it to not enter the goal....
I know I'm whining like a spoilt brat, ( Read more... )

I saw the match too, and frankly I wanted Japan to win.
They played a great game though and for that they should be proud. I really hope that they win against Denmark and make it to the quarter finals!
The Netherlands really marked Honda so I guess he couldn't really play as well as he normally would have.
I think that the goal wasn't the goalkeeper's fault though. He just didn't reach it in time, shit happens you know. The shot was a really strong one and I doubt he would have been able to punch it away if he went at it at the same angle. For him to save it he should have jumped at it more to the right.
Anyways, I really hope Japan makes it! Their team work is impressive and the commentators in my country also sucked at pronouncing the names lol!
Tanaka is his surname then? I thought it was a name loools!
Anyways GO JAPAN! [I'm mainly an ITALY supporter but I support Japan too! ;)]

Haha, Italy and Japan arent in the same group now so you can support both!
Japan needs to win Denmark next!
He's a half-japanese i guess. His full name is Marcus Tulio Tanaka. Tanaka is his surname. I reckon Tulio is his middle name or something....

i think they're up against denmark next....
the 4 countries are in group E. with Netherlands leading by 6 pts (they won 2 games straight) and followed by Japan and Denmark with 3 points. Japan needs to win Denmark!

I haven't seen much of the World Cup actually, only caught a few bits of games here and there...not that I'm uninterested in it but I just keep missing the matches cos I'm busy with other things or forget they're on lol.

The news about SS501's promotions being ended already made me so sad! I was in shock that it was so quick, especially when they were doing really well and everyone was enjoying Love Ya so much. I read a rumour that they might be holding back on renewing (or otherwise) their contracts because the president of DSP is sick in hospital but I dunno whether there's really any truth in that or not.
I saw videos from that fanmeeting and oh wow I was so shocked by their tears...but hopefully the tears were just because they appreciate their fans so much and felt they wanted to be able to give more. I'm going to believe in what Hyunjoong said and believe that they will be coming back with more great music :o)

yup, they got 2 consecutive wins on k-chart...? is it k-chart? i know they got consecutive wins somewhere. they won WG by quite a large margin..... if only promo were longer they cld have gotten more consecutive wins!
anyway leader is already in philippines to guest in beast's concert and he donated 1 million peso to the charity there! =)
ehh? where did you hear the rumour about dsp pres being sick in hospital? not trying to be evil, but i really do hope it's just as simple as that as to why they're holding off renewal...

I heard it in omonatheydidnt, in the post that was made about the statemtent from DSP regarding end of promotions. Here's the link if you want to read what the person said themselves: http://community.livejournal.com/omonatheydidnt/3623326.html

ahh, i see.
but one thing i dont understand now is why everyone is jumping onto the 'disbandment' bandwagon for SS501's future.
i mean, why can't they just switch agency altogether?
i cant understand the pessimisticism (if there's such a word) and it's making me depressed too.
