Running and a bruise
While at this weekend's LARP, I acquired a nasty bruise on my shin. I have to do something about the pads I use for my legs; I can't go without them or my knees will get messed up, but they need some padding/trimming/fixing around the shins ( Read more... ) -
RAID recovery
As I posted earlier (or did I put that on google+?) my desktop died earlier. It didn't even do a POST (power-on self test), although the fans run.
Last night I opened it up and wiggled all the connections. No change.

My desktop isn't booting. It was running, I was web browsing, and it just froze; now it doesn't even show anything onscreen as it tries to boot. Next step is to unplug everything so I can haul it out where I can work on it and see what code the motherboard is showing (if any ( Read more... ) -
