Two days ago my mom tripped and shattered her pinky finger. She fell on it, the pinky joint dislocated and the finger itself bent at a 90 degree angle, breaking both bones in the finger itself, as well as piercing through the skin. The nerve damage is currently so severe that she has no sensation in her finger whatsoever. Gross, man

As a child who has witnessed her mother having a siezure and a father with two heart attacks under his belt, I totally understand the 'incapacitated parent' bit. My cousin just lost her mom (in Toronto) a month ago, so yeah, it gets heavier when you know you're inching closer and closer to 'that time'.
Where in Toronto is Alison staying? Is she going to school there, or is it job related? (I have mucho family down there).
