Probably easier to just reformat at this stage, just to get a clean start. Do you have all your OS and game install CDs?

I'm going to sound like one of those people who shouldn't own a computer (because I am), but what constitutes an OS? I watch too much Grey's Anatomy, and the first thing that came to mind was "osteosarcoma", which I'm pretty sure is wrong...
