On the financial front though, it helps to have a monthly checklist of all the bills that should be coming in that month and to check it weekly. When a bill comes in, immediately check it off the list. If it's getting down to the third week of the month and you notice there are bills that aren't checked yet, call the company and see where the bill is. That way, you don't get any nasty surprises.

Yea, my friend and pastor Jan told me the same thing. He does that, himself, to keep track of the bills.
This economy sucks! If you got a job, praise God that you're still employed!
Things will get better when I put my faith where it belongs. My church is starting up, again! It's only 3 of us, right now. But we, by faith, expect God to bring more in our church!

Me, I don't have a job other than my freelance art (which makes about $10,000/yr gross, tops). I haven't been able to find full-time work now for almost 5 years. :/

I was out of work for 2 years ... and it was pure hell! Actually around 3 broken up by two jobs, one I was not good at and the other was just temporary seasonal work. =(
I praying for God to open up doors of opportunity for you! Even a part-time temp position would be better than none!
(Of course, I'm leaving my political rant out of this for time till I can find the correct words to say.)
