Again relying on you? Every time the same, lol, but I think in the end I will exactly do that ^-^ Well yeah, the card seems to work for all the times but I don't wanna pay more than I have to.

From what I unterstood, the Tokyo Metro is quite easy to use. Although you can choose the station that you wanna go to already when you buy the ticket, if the worst comes to the worst you can just buy the cheapest ticket and pay the extra money when you exit the station after arrival. It will display the exact amount of money you had to pay for using the line so its only a question of paying it before or afterwards. At least thats what my teacher told me. X_X If that's really how it works, the system's quite clever. XD

Well yeah, it might be clever regarding they can't made you pay a penalty charce for having a wrong ticket or someting as it's here in Germany.
But how can I see for which line I don't have to pay an extra amount?

Oh, wish you also good luck with your plannings :) And really hope to get you back healthy, hehe.

We're going to stay for one month (though I'm still fighting with my bosses to get the full four weeks) in Tokyo. What about you?

Im staying for one month as well. :D August is the only month my university cannot make me sit exams and stuff, so its the only opportunity for me. ^^°

I will probably travel the rest of the country from 2nd to 20th (there are still Tanabata Matsuri festivals at Sendai in August >v< Yay!) and spend the last 10 days or more in Tokyo. So excited, really! *_* Cant wait!

But staying in Shibuya is kinda wow! XD Isnt it expensive?
What are your plans for Tokyo? :) Any spot youd like to see or go to?

Are you going alone? Travelling around the country sounds good! You will get to see so many different things *__* And also festivals; I envy you.

Staying in Shibuya may be more expensive than other districs, don't know for sure, but at least it's central and convenient, I guess.
So far I don't have many spots I want to go to, that's still in planning, hehe. Well, I wanna visit Chiba and Kisarazu (because auf Kisarazu Cats Eye xD). Any recommendations?

The train system in Tokyo is actually not that difficult. Basically, you go to the station and above the ticket machine there is a map. You find the station that you want to go to on that map and it will say the price, just buy a ticket for that price and that's it. And if you don't want to have to buy tickets each time, you can get a suica or pasmo, which is a card that you can put money on and then you just swipe it to enter the station and to get out. It automatically takes the money off the card.

And if you get lost, you can just call me and I'll help you, hehe XD (Well, that is if you rent a phone, lol)

Since I never use such a system it is actually difficult to me, haha. But I think a want to get a suica or pasmo. And on the map above the machine, does it say also which line is belongs to the same company? I think I read there are two; Tokyo Metro and Toei somewhat.

Oh yeah, good you mentioned it. Can you tell me how to rent a phone? I really like to have one so we can text and meet up. Though I hope I don't need to call you because of getting lost, lol.

Well, if you get a Suica or Pasmo you don't have to worry about what company the line is run by, you can ride any trains in Tokyo with it. But also, many of the companies are working together so they have lines which connect to eachother and you don't need to worry about what company owns the line. If the station you want to go to is on the map, it doesn't matter if it's a different company. But there are sometimes when you have to push the "transfer to such an such line" button before you buy the ticket if it's a station that's not on the map. It's not very often though. And of course if you have the card it doesn't matter.

And for the phone, they have places in the airport where you can rent a phone. Or you can rent it online ahead of time and have it delivered to your hotel. There are various online companies that do that.

So I will definitely buy that card, haha. Thanks so much for your explanation, I think I got it now.

Oh, I guess I will rent it at the airport then, there I have personal help, hehe. And also get it immediately I hope. Seems to be pretty usual to rent a phone in Japan when so many companies are offering that. I suppose because other phone aren't working there, hm?
