I... do not understand what's happening to your game, but it's probably because they're trying to plant a seed of encouragement to migrate from XI to XIV when it gets released. :/

Lots of friends are saying its to battle competition with WoW.

I dont like that at all. Fuck that. Just keep it as FFXI, not try to be cooler than WoW.

...But it and WoW are completely incomparable games. They have different mission statements and different goals and different markets... Changing things like that probably isn't going to get them more sales, but just lose the people they have now. :/ Poor choice!

The only reason I prefer WoW is that you're able to solo most of the game. I don't want my gaming to be dependent on other players. *shrugs*

See, that's exactly why I couldn't STAND wow. I was FORCED to solo to the point where I could do end-raids. That, to me, isn't fun at all.

Then FFXI decided "Hey, let's make it easier for people to solo!" which created the backlash of forcing people at lower levels to do so.

And now they're fucking things over even more so.

But ah well, it's just a game. /end subscription

I'm so glad I quit this game...99 cap? Seriously? Even more of a grind...whipping out subjobs again, flipping the entire game upside down all for the grind. No thanks XD
