The derogatory language is really getting tiresome /sigh I mean, I assume it's deliberate, so we can see how godawful the villains are, but so far this sort of language is basically the only distinctive quality every villain in this book possesses, which doesn't contribute to variety and general entertainment >: Also the whole "not uttering a sound while being whipped" thing is so unrealistic and overrated I'm struggling to come up with a simile scalding enough to highlight its stupidity.

I agree completely. I'm kind of numb to the whole evul-rapey-misogynistic/homophobic-villain cliche after having encountered it in way too many works at this point, but honestly, the only differences between Monteith, Bassinger and Nicky is their accent :')
