Oh yeah, I'm still quite all here. I must confess though that college applications, portfolio demands, senior year, and overall real life issues has depleted my free time completely. In fact, the intention of this post is really just to get feedback on current portfolio work. My apologies; I miss you folks (and my fandoms!) as much as you miss me (

I am so glad that you are existing and producing and achieving out there. :D I've been really, really bad with focus over the last three months, but you've been coming to mind consistently, here and there briefly: hope Rinka's doing okay right now.

AND IT WOULD APPEAR THAT YOU'VE BEEN DOING BETTER THAN OKAY. As a general note, I think this is a beautiful portfolio; good showing of different media, a range of subjects, referenced sketches, conceptual sketches. You run a good length of the gambit there, which is a definite plus.

Like the life drawings, though they seem stiff compared to your other works. Your art has a distinct flair to it, that inherent fantasy element I mentioned all that time ago; the whole concept of a life drawing tends to squash the more fantastical qualities of sketching, true, but your style itself seems stunted in that area. You've already noted that, though, and I'm positive that it's just because you haven't had the time to loosen up and develop a casual technique. Once you do, holy; please be posting the

Eyah! Thank you so much for all your praise. However, uh, none of these pieces are/were digital pieces - they've all been done through traditional mediums. I think the reason they just look so clean is the fact that I spruced them up a bit after I scanned them in at Kinko's.

I really don't know where to start my gushing on your lovely arting. I love the nocanfly.jpg one, especially now that I know more about the underlying concept. And TIME! I've already gushed about the lesbian angel kissage but yeah. Lovely stuff, that. As per usual, I am in awe at you grasp on anatomy. And no matter how you deny it, that deer is cute and I loves it. FISHGIRL IS ALL GROWED UP! I love her and her scary man o' war friend. But now that I've seen this you know what you need to send me. >:3 (I wanna hear the backstory, too!) The life drawing pic of that one woman definitely did catch the "classic flair" vibe. That very term crossed my mind before I even read your comments on it.

Oh. My. GOD. (heehee oh emm gee!) Alice, you are a goddess. Word cannot begin to express how completely gorgeous your art is (and my jealousy towards the fact.) I LOVE your pencil-dragon; I am still in awe at your patience and attention to detail (in that one, and the fertility one, "Dreams" and "Time" and...Fishhead Girl?) And (paraphrasing missErika up there) your knowledge of the human form is incredible. Oh, dearie me, I sound ridiculous now. TO sum ot all up: YOU KICK SERIOUS ASSSSSSSSSSSS in EVERYTHING you do!!!
