There are sometimes when I think America really does die. Robbing the corpse of a city that you call home is worse than being a worm in a carcass. All I can think of is Bourbon Street and the death of jazz. The death of ghosts, history. The bones have floated in the river despite all of the efforts at grandeur. Memorials.

fact is, human shit floats.

there's people like that everywhere, who assume that the loss of "order" means they have the right to whatever they want, and only acy civalized most of the time because they're afriad of the police and being outed as assholes.

I was thinking more abput the history lost and the good people that suffer. The majority of people in New Orleans have prooved themselves to be shits.

i'm aware, but talking about things i hate is easier for me.

besides, you'll be surprised how often those good people make sure the history is brought back to the surface.
