Spoilers for up to last night's episode (3x16). And perhaps ranting.
Two episodes after Karofsky attempts suicide because of gay bullying, Kurt advises a boy with sexual identity issues not to appear on stage in drag, because he's in high school in Ohio and this can not end well. No, wait! The other thing! He encourages the kid to perform in drag because Kurt is sure this will ensure the kid will get rejected and ridiculed by the audience, and -- this is my assumption, but perhaps it's wrong to expect glee characters to have memory of events prior to two weeks ago -- bring on hardcore bullying, perhaps violent bashing.
I'm just... SERIOUSLY? The writers decided the gay kid who experienced bashing first-hand would be the right person to provoke the transgendered kid to come out and subject himself to that? I don't care that Sue told him to. Kurt didn't even protest and he knew this was wrong. I don't care that this brought us one of the most fabulous performances this season. Out of all the shitty things Kurt has done, this ranks somewhere around the shittiest.
Are we supposed to take this as OOC sloppy writing? Glee can't expect me to do that when being an asshole is consistently written into Kurt's character. So it must be Kurt's fault. This is why I can't stomach Kurt/Blaine. Blaine is awesome, so I pray he doesn't get any more major storylines from the writing teams and he can remain one of the last presumably-awesome characters on glee.
I don't even want to start on what a trainwreck Rachel/Finn has become. The last scene of theirs in this episode was, thankfully, almost a bit redeeming. But everything preceding it?
