I think my mum took offense some time back when I told her that women should not ask their partner stuff like, "do you love me?" or "how do I look?" or "do you think I'm fat?"

Because growing up, she'd definitely been guilty of posing at least one of these questions to my dad. And I pitied him.

Yup, I hate those questions. If I answer Melanie honestly, she's mad. If I lie, she calls me on it. The only time its worthwhile is when I compliment her unprovoked, but then later I'm the bad guy because I don't do it all the time. Realistically I don't do it much, maybe one or two times a week because honestly would you appreciate it if I said that every day? No.
