Life is good, but challenging at the moment. Tomorrow I complete my first week of my internship, and I have to say that so far its going well. Making the switch to getting up early wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I wake up at 720, grab some breakfast while watching the news, and then bike to work and get there around 8:30. Tori sums it up nicely there... I'm nervous as hell right now. Tomorrow I start my internship, and I really don't know what I'm in for on my first day. I need to go in for orientation at 9am, so I'll be up bright and early to shower, eat, and bike over to the museum. rode in my first ever critical mass today; it was a good time. it was insane to see how irate some people get about having to sit in traffic for something like that. i saw some guy in a VW station wagon try to push through, honking and shouting the whole way. he got road blocked. you would think a guy driving a station wagon would have kids, ( Read more... )

DEMF!!! i can't wait until we leave... this weekend's weather is supposed to be amazing. i'm going to get on making up my hamburger patties now, so that i don't have to worry about it later.

had a fairly eventful day today. i got up early and drove to WI to meet with the florist. we nailed down the last details about church deco, bouquets, etc, and reception deco. then i looked into spas for a relaxation the day before the wedding while the men golf. i found a lovely place the next town over and booked the spa day there, and then ( Read more... )

i never thought there would be any other kind of birds in the downtown area other than pigeons and seagulls/garbagegulls, but i'm happy to say thats not true. right now there are actually songbirds of some sort outside, which makes me very happy.

i finally got my bike fixed up, so hopefully im good to go for the summer. i hope to be riding a lot; i just need to get over being freaked out about driving on busy streets ( Read more... )
