There's a bit near the end of the game that feels very like an aborted love confession from Lillie, and I did find myself wondering whether it would be the same if I'd chosen to play as the female trainer!

Team Skull are pretty great! I love the ludicrous talking animation for the grunts.

I think it is the same which is hilarious, I remember Lillie/femaleprotag being popular in yuri circles |D

They're so goofy and harmless! They just want to dance! Wannabe punks, haha. I gave them money for the Pokecenter they took over because I wanted to support their endeavors lol

Any Thoughts On The Frankenstein Pocket Monster, Professor Kukui? No??? nadramon December 17 2024, 07:38:15 UTC
Getting to pet your Pokemon team was easily the best feature Pokemon Sun & Moon added, although I was also very worried about hurting them by accident; but in a way, it felt realistic: different animals don't like to be touched the same way, and having to be careful with your Pokemon gave it some stakes, so I kind of like that the possibility of messing up is there. (Although there is definitely some game cruelty potential too... But I don't really want to explore that aspect.)

What especially struck me about this game was the first time Gladion fought me with the Type: Null. It looked so strange! My Pokedex couldn't identify it! The score changed! A million theories about what on Earth this creature could be and what they had been through haunted me all through the fight, and then... Nobody reacted??? Studying unknown Pokemon (is it a Pokemon???) is supposed to be your job, Professor Kukui, and this one does not look okay!! Somebody help this kid and his weird pet ( ... )

I'm fine with the fact that your Pokémon have places they prefer not to be touched; it's a nice little moment of realism! It's distressing that it's possible to hit them by accident, though.

Well, I'm mostly fine with the fact that your Pokémon have places they prefer not to be touched. It breaks my heart that I can't stroke the Shellder on my Slowbro's tail without making my Slowbro sad.

Type: Null is so unsettling! Along with everything else about it, its name feels so uncomfortably wrong.

I haven't actually played X or Y; it's interesting to hear that the player character is more expressive in those! It feels like such a step back that they don't have expressions in Sun and Moon.
