Nothing like having so much pain from your period that both your husband and your mother force you to go to the emergency room. They gave me Dilaudid (and Zofran because I was also nauseous). Then they sent me home with Naporxen and Vicodin ( Read more... )

Have you ever been checked for endometriosis? It's when the lining of your uterus grows in other places- i.e. your appendix, like where I had it, apparently- and it can cause immensely painful periods.

It runs in my family, so I'm sure it will rear it's fugly head at some point, but as of my last gyno appointment, and the ct scan and sono they did last night because my blood says I'm dying of an infection (my white blood cell count was off the charts high), it's all normal in the uterine zone. XD Needless to say, I'm off to a hematologist sometime in the near future to see about that blood thing.
