The Long Days of IT
Right when I thought my days at work couldn't get any longer...they just did yesterday. I still can't believe I worked 11 1/2 hours in ONE day! Thats over kill! Atleast one thing positive came out of working a long day, I was commended for my work of rolling out 16 PC's and 22 monitors in one day by myself and doing my normal work on top of that.

That's a long day. I hope you get paid overtime for all the extra hours. I think the day i flew to sydney and back was that long, but that included sitting on the airplanes, in the taxi's and at the airports. 12 hours of work is a lot.
I'm seriously killing myself from the over time that I'm doing. Its starting to effect my health.
If your health is suffering then its time to cut back. Any extra money you get from overtime wont mean much if you wear yourself out and have to take extended time off due to sickness/stress leave/etc.
Deep down I really do want to do all of these and thats one of the soul reasons why I'm pushing myself so hard at work.
It's a matter of compromise; what's the point of having everything you want at home if you're never there to enjoy it?
Unfortunately, I'm stubborn and don't like letting anyone down.I don't think you'd be letting your work down by working a few hours less each week. If not everything gets done, then they're letting themselves down ( ... )
