So, I am officially legally blind. I thought I might be for awhile, and I finally asked my doctor today. My eyes have consistently, rapidly been getting worse since the 5th grade. The past couple years they have slowed down some, but are still getting worse. I need eye surgery, but I can't get it till my eyes have "plateaued". Thank God for

Just got bumped up to -7.00 in both eyes today. You are the only person I know that is pretty close to me...I feel your pain!

whoa... I can barely see without my contact at -4.5. You guys must just see giant blurs!! Is -7.0 the official legally blind mark?

Yes, everything is a large blur. And it actually has something to do with not being able to see that big E on the eye chart from a certain distance. So probably more like -6.50? Or maybe even a bit lower.
