I've always heard of it happening to others and never really expected it to happen to me as well, naive, or perhaps just the flicker of my sometimes low self-esteem which has me believe that no one would care to

It is amazing how out of nowhere the past can suddenly begin to seep back into our lives. For me it usually comes in spurts and all at once. Suddenly I am overwhelmed by the ever looming presence of those from my past all at the same time. I always have believed that the past comes back to remind us of something or to teach us something new. I don't think you are snobbish to feel like you are now at a different place then people from your past, I tend to have the same feeling towards those that try to re enter my life. This is just a reminder that we have truly grown and overcome cetain things. I have others though that I too think of at times and wish I could reconnect with them if only for a moment. *sigh* I seem to have my mind in the past alot these days.

Interesting how symbolic your dreams seems to be to your reality.

I believe this is happening to a lot of people in general lately; something in the stars? While I am open to rekindling certain old connections, there are some relationships that should remain history. Perhaps they were necessary at that time, but nothing more, it's time to move on.
