we just got this new table saw installed at the shop where i work, and it is amazing. there is a computer built into it that sends an electric current through the blade that measures the cutting resistance. if it detects the slightest difference, like if you accidently run your finger through, it throws an aluminum block into the blade a retracts

yea the hotdog thing was awesome. our saw at work sucks bad. and our table is too small for the shit I have to build so it hangs all off the edge and its hard to keep it straight with 8 feet of wood hanging into the air.
