With some assistance, I cut a hole in my ceiling, installed a brace and a fixture box, ran wiring through the attic to the wall, cut a hole in the wall, installed a switch box, ran wiring back up into the attic, installed a junction box, tapped into the closet-light circuit, and in 9 short hours... I have a ceiling fan!

Isn't it cute? And late last year I replaced all the outlets and light switches... I got rid of the old beige ones and put in all white ones.

I have a decent understanding of electrical stuff; everything worked on the first try. lol
