I never seem to remember before it happens that the downside of cross referencing and losing myself in detailed research into parallel subjects is the fact that when one decides that outside influences are required to progress further, one looks up to find that the place is a bloody mess and I can't find anything anymore. I glance at the caller id on my cell and see that it's a Sunnydale number. I answer. "Hello?" Wonder if something catastrophic's happened. Hope not.

"Jordy?" I ask, frowning and leaning against the nearest wall. "What happened? No one's hurt, are they?" I ask, worried. Suddenly I remember every time I had to sit and worry, sick to my stomach, that I'd hurt someone, or I would hurt someone.

I pause, shifting the phone to cradle in my shoudler as I clean my glasses. "I witnessed Jordy in his wolf form at the high school prom the other night.
