Moved in!
Chris and I are officially moved into our new place! Its more perfect than I ever imagined it would be. We get sunlight in here from 7 am to 8 pm, and we get a great view of sunsets too. Everything is working out so well, I feel so at home right now. I'm happy as a clam ( Read more... ) -
Wonderful things in my life right now:
1. I got a job at the WTCC, which I start on Monday, under a lot of cool French chefs (seriously, Christophe, Guilles, and Pierre, to name a few ( Read more... ) -
New job, guys!
I got hired at the world trade center. The pastry chef I'll be reporting to has the twirliest handlebar mustache and the biggest nose I have ever seen. Everyone is French, so I bought a book on learning french to jog my memory a bit. Chef Christophe seemed disappointed that he got me and not Dawn, but oh well. I still have trouble believing it

One down, one to go...
Yesterday was a disaster. Lets hope today isn't the same. I was feeling more confident last night, but once again I feel like I'm trying to trap water in my hands as that comfort slips away.

Muffins: 4, Liz: 0
On attempt number four trying to perfect my muffins, I have failed again. Thats four batches of muffins that are garbage worthy. I'm really frustrated because this last batch that I made today looked great, rose perfectly, baked perfectly, I put a nice citrus glaze on top.
