Cantabile couldn't help but smile at the fact that she was so easily able to get out of St. Binah mostly undetected. Of course, now the fact that she had been there would be known, but that would end up working to her benefit

The woman did not seem quite pleased with the others. Her eyes were slightly narrowed at the comment, but she remained calm as she could, and the only thing on her doll-like face that was showing any emotions at all were the narrowed eyes of the God-General. Somehow, this woman, this stranger, was completely an annoyance, that was a needle in her eyes, insulting her when she felt the right mood to, and picking at mistakes she had committed, but obviously there was also someone else playing behind the scenes of this. She didn't like to be in a controversy with other God-Generals, but by the looks of it, they never seem to get along. Perhaps, it was because of their personality and where they stood on Van's side. She was certain, that Cantabile was capable of betrayal, just as she was of tricking her many times. The not that was left to her was still in a pocket of her clothes

Cantabile felt pleased with the reactions she was getting from the other woman so far. Oh, she wasn't showing much, but what little she did show gave the impression that inside the God-General was beyond angry
