I just got back from the service/wake. There were a lot of people there. I was really happy to see keri_lynn1 , hockeykat , janelgirl , Kristen, and Michelle there. janelgirl and keri_lynn1 both spoke about Kelly, how they met, and what a great friend she was. There is nothing wrong with randomness, especially... well. And I'm glad to hear that Monty will go to a good home.

Isn't that the usually thing, though? The getting together, only after someone is gone, and wishing they could also be there. It's a pity no one thinks of something like that when someone's still around to enjoy it.

Thanks so much for posting this (I'm in another continent.) And you know what, i firmly believe she was looking down and feeling happy about being remembered.
Will her kitty stay with her mom?

Unfortunately Kelly's cats were taken out of the house, but they went to a good home.

Thanks so much for letting us know as I am so far away as well. Always good to hear that many people were there for Kelly :(

It was a wonderful opportunity to catch up also and it was great seeing those that were able to make it there to support Kelly and her family. I know that Kelly appreciated all of the friends she made throughout her life.

I agree it was nice to talk about all of our memories about Kelly, she was definitely looking down on all of us knowing that we were all there to celebrate her.
