Wow, I've been lazy again. On vacation I did more Kanji repetition than all year. I started translating that book again though. It's over 200 pages, but I've calculated that by doing three pages a day I can finish it once month before the timeline and work out the kinks... I take it as training, even though it's not exactly academic level :)
I find textbooks motivate me to study so hopefully with four new ones my motivation be extra-high :) How long do you spend translating each day? Three pages sounds like a lot!
As it's a young adult novel, three pages really isn't much. Takes me about half an hour maybe? But that's the rough translation. I go over it once a chapter is done to make it sound more natural. I'm too lazy to do more than 3 pages :)
I've finally picked up my Kanji trainer on the DS today and went through a whole chapter on the trains. Now if I would keep that pace I'd be ready for the test in December :)
I should probably get out my DS kanji game and give it a go again. I don't like the way it grades me on how well I've drawn the kanji though :( As long as I've got it right it's fine!
