Holp!

I am truly sorry for the utterly ridiculous question but I need packing help. We've just got the packing list for the Europe tour and it appears that I've actually under packed (for once!). So, my question is - will I need shorts in April in the UK/Europe? plink_chan and ozchique, I'm appealing particularly to you since you have shared the same weather as me :).

I doubt you will get the chance to wear shorts in the UK. :o( If recent weather is anything to go by I would suggest you pack clothing you can layer, instead. And possibly a raincoat.
It's been very cold here, with only one or two warm and sunny days over the last few weeks, lots and lots of rain, too. (And by warm I mean a maximum of about 11C.) It usually starts to get warmer and brighter towards the end of April and in to early May but our weather is completely unreliable and changes very quickly so better to be safe than sorry! (Even we don't make plans that far ahead because we never know what it's going to be like outside.)

As it gets nearer to your departure time you can look on the BBC weather page for a better idea of what to expect. Just type the area you will be visiting in to the search box.

(Thanks for your posts on my journal this week, too. *huge hugs*)

11C!!! OMG. *packs warmer socks* So, definitely no on the shorts then unless I bring some of this 30C weather with me, huh? :)

I think I've got the layering down, and I'm bringing a rain/trench coat thing. Ugh, if there's one thing I dislike about traveling it's not bringing the right stuff and then having to spend your "have fun" money on things you already own but left at home!

Thank you for the link - it will come in very handy I think.

(I'm glad everything went okay with the hubby and I hope things will start looking up for you soon *hugs*)

Yep, I agree! No shorts. The only time I wore anything summery was in the middle of summer and that was only for about 3-4 weeks - late July to early August.

Maybe some cropped jeans or cargoes will be more appropriate? Or maybe a skirt with tights? Good luck with the packing. When you do depart?

Now that I've seen a weather report for the UK, I'm thinking I need to pack much warmer clothes. Cropped jeans might be the go; I've been trying to justify taking them anyway!

It's crept up fast, as usual, I fly out next Sunday.

Thank you for the help :).
