I failed my glucose tolerance test...I have to go in next week for the 3 hr test. I thought the fasting all night would do the trick but I guess not. At least I'll have 3 hrs to work on my crosstitch.

I would've thought eating all those twinkies would have done it but...I guess not...

If your test is anything like mine at Kaiser was, they'll have you up and walking laps around the office every hour, then the blood draw, then the sitting, then the walking, then the blood draw.... it's a real pain.

BTW, have I told you lately how EXCITED I am for you?! Just sayin' is all...

It's all been quite a pain...one thing after another. I just want November to get here so I can have my little girl. Casey and Tessa are dying of anticipation!

During mine, they didn't want me moving around much at all - I was supposed to sit quietly (and read, or do Sudoku or whatever) until it was time for the next draw.

Still, good luck Lisa! When is it scheduled?

Sometime next week. I have to figure out when I can do it and be able to fast. Tessa starts high school on Monday and her first 3 days are only 9-12pm so I'm going to have to be a bit creative to try to fit this into the schedule.

Awww, man...that's a bummer. Hopefully the three hour will go just fine!

I'm hoping it will go fine and I'll pass but thinking realistically...I don't think I will. I fasted all night and didn't have the glucose till 9:30 and I still didn't pass. The nurse said my glucose was very high. But, I am keeping my fingers crossed.

that just sucks. Piper is really making you work for this. (Tessa must have been far too nice to you in her opinion). see if they will let you have at least ice chips during the 3 hour? to keep you hydrated.

you could bring a book too, crosstitch for 3 hours straight, when you aren't curled up cozy on your own couch gets a little difficult.

She certainly is! I have to say that having one thing after another pop up during this pregnancy is really starting to wear on me physically and emotionally. I am just keeping my fingers crossed that I can make it to November without any major thing happening. But, on a more positive note...Tessa was an easy pregnancy and a very challenging child. So, I'm hoping that though this is proving to be a very challenging pregnancy that Piper will be an easy child to raise.
