Riya’s POV
Why am I still talking to this guy? We can’t even understand each other. I thought
“Excuse me… but I really need to go.” I told him
“Wait…” he said.
“Sorry but I really need to go. It’s getting dark.” I said as I started to walk away from him.
“Please… Just moment.” He followed me.
I tried to walk a little faster.
“Riya-chan… wait…” he said as he tried to follow me.
“Look mister. I don’t know you. And I don’t think I have any business with you. If you don’t stop following me I’m going to scream.” I said. I was now half running and half walking.
“Please… wait…” he begged.
Panic was already starting to escalate as I walked a little faster only to realize I was walking in circles. I stopped walking, took a deep breath and faced the guy.
“Ok what do you want?” I said after braving enough courage.
“Wait…” he replied complete with arm gesture.
“Is that all you’re going to say?” I asked.
“Please… wait” he said again.
“Ok… Ok… Fine… I’m going to wait, but you stay there. Don’t come near me. If you do I’m going to run.” I said as I sat onto the grass.
The guy sat in front of me and began to stare. He was creeping me out. Why is he doing this? To think he was wearing a fisherman’s hat and shades and it was already getting dark.
“SA---TO---SHI!!!!” Someone shouted from behind.
A figure was running towards us, arms waving frantically. The figure finally stopped in front of us, hands on his knees as he was trying to catch his breath.
Satoshi’s POV
“Sho-kun… thank god you’re here… Tell her that we are not bad guys. Tell her that I just want to invite her to our concert. Ask her if she wants to have dinner with us after the concert.” I said as I pushed Sho towards Riya.
“Satoshi… hah….hah…hah… matte… let me catch my breath first. I just ran three blocks.” Sho replied.
“Gomen… ehhh…Sho-kun… you did not put on any disguise… someone might see you.” I said realizing that Sho was wearing the costume for the opening and without any cap or sunglasses on.
“Baka! You told me to run didn’t you? I had no time to look for a cap or sunglasses. Plus Matsujun would not get off my back since he heard I was talking to you on the phone. I had to literally shove him just to get away.”
“Gomen… hontou ni… Ahhh… Sho-kun, this is Riya-chan. The girl I’ve been telling you. Riya-chan, Sho-kun.” I introduced.
“Hi nice to meet you. My name is Sho Sakurai.” Sho said as he held out his hand .
Riya’s POV
My name is Sho Sakurai… The words continued to ring in my ears.
Sho… Sho… Sho… Sho…
As soon as I matched the name with the face, blood seem to drain from my face, my jaw dropped and I felt my airway close.
Breathe Riya breathe. I thought.
“Hey are you ok?” Sho asked me.
“Sho… Sho…” I said.
“Yes my name is Sho Sakurai… and this guy here is Satoshi Ohno.” He introduced again.
“Ohno..” I mouthed.
“Well I guess this makes it easier to invite you since you know us.” Satoshi said in Japanese as he took off the hat and the sunglasses.
“Ohno…” I mouthed again before everything went black.
Satoshi’s POV
“Riya-chan… Riya-chan…” I said as I tried to catch her before she hit the grass.
“What happened? What did you do?” Sho asked panicking.
“I did not do anything. I just took my disguise off then she fainted.” I answered still holding on to Riya.
“Maybe she got terrified.”
“What do you mean? I look terrifying?”
“What do we do now? Wake her up.” Sho said
“Help me.” I said as we both tried to wake Riya up.
“It’s no use. She won’t budge. Maybe seeing your face was too much for her.”
“Stop it. What are we going to do now? We can’t leave her here.” I asked.
Wait… Don’t rush me… I’m still thinking…” Sho replied.
At that moment, my phone began to ring.
“Shit! It’s Matsujun.” I said as I looked at the person calling.
“Don’t answer it.” Sho said as he continued to wake Riya up.
“I can’t do that. He’s gonna have a fit if we don’t answer it. You answer it.” I said as I pressed the answer button and shoved the phone to Sho’s ear.
“Wait… hai.. Matsujun… Ehhh? What do you mean where am I? I’m in the bathroom. I’m taking a shower again. It’s hot.” Sho reasoned.
“Baka! This is Riida’s phone. You’re in the bathroom with him? And it’s not hot.” I heard Matsujun scream from the other end.
Damn. Sho-kun really does not know how to make excuses. I thought.
“We are going to start the concert in 30 minutes. Where are you? And where is that spaced out Leader of ours? I have not seen him for the past 3 hours. I’m giving you both 10 minutes. If you are not here by ten minutes, both of you are going to do the concert on your own. From start to finish!” Matsujun demanded before hanging up.
“He’s mad isn’t he?” I asked.
Sho who seemed to be lost for words nodded.
“Damn. What are we going to do now? We can’t just leave her here.” I asked.
“We can’t bring her to a hospital. She’s not sick plus there are a lot of people there.” Sho replied.
“Let’s just bring her to the venue. She can stay in the dressing room until she wakes up.” I suggested.
Sho, seeing that there aren’t any possible solutions left nodded in agreement.
“Hold her hands while I hold her feet. We might get there in 10 minutes if we run.” Sho said as he grabbed Riya’s feet.
“Sho-kun we can’t walk all the way to the venue while carrying her. It’s gonna look awkward. Let’s call a cab.” I said.
“Oh yeah. Sorry didn’t think of that.” He replied as let go of Riya’s feet and headed towards the edge of the curb to hail a cab.
Bringing an unconscious girl to the venue was harder than we thought. Puzzled looks from the staff and the security greeted us as we entered through the backdoor. We hurriedly made our way to the dressing room only to be confronted with even more questioning looks from the three other guys.
“Riida… Sakurai… where the hell have you been? Do you know that we have less than 20 minutes before curtain call? Sho-kun your costume’s got a lot of grass. What did you do? Riida why aren’t you dressed yet? What’s that? Rather Who is that?” Matsujun asked his questions endlessly.
“Questions later, right now get all of your bags off the couch. She’s heavy.” Sho said.
“Who is she?” Aiba asked as he grabbed the nearest bags and threw them onto the floor.
“Where did you get that?” Nino asked as he stood and watched Sho and I lay Riya on the couch.
“She’s not a thing Nino. She’s a girl.” I retorted.
“I know that. But where did you find her?” Nino asked again.
“Satoshi found her. I just helped him bring her here.” Sho replied as he tried to rid his costume of the grass.
“Riida what have you done?” Matsujun asked in disbelief.
“I did not do anything. She just fainted.” I said defending myself.
“What do you mean she fainted?” Aiba asked.
“She fainted when she saw Satoshi’s face.” Sho answered.
“Ahhh. Oh well, I would faint too if I saw you all of a sudden. You look scary.” Nino remarked sarcastically.
“Haha… Very funny Nino.” I said.
“So tell us. What really happened?” Jun asked.
“I’ll answer your questions later. Let me get dressed first. We have a few minutes more before the concert. Right now, let’s just leave her here.” I said as covered her with one of my bathrobes before hurriedly changing into the costume for the opening number.
