Nothing changed from canon's black-green hair and golden brown eyes with the glare and fire in them. Except the boy stands in 168 cm ... he is still a shorty and hey, no cap! 8D.
If you're dreaming of a Prince Charming, go find another prince! Ryoma is an extremely cocky brat, a devious little charmer whose smirky face shares insults into every direction. Some people find him amusing, most people find him annoying. Ryoma's manners are rude, yet he expects some good behavior from most people. As an example: if you ask his name, he’ll reply ‘People should tell their own name before asking for names of others, that’s common knowledge’, yet he never introduces himself first. Heck, he might even leave the situation without introducing himself at all, that's almost the most usual thing for him to do actually.
Ryoma acts like an ice cold prince who rarely shows reaction or emotion to anything at all. Sure, he cares about lot of stuff, he just doesn't feel like showing it to people. The boy doesn't seem to fear anyone or anything, he rather enjoys dangers and challenges. They're his chance to show some skills or even power, if he can do something in a situation with his title as the prince of Risath. He is an extremely confident and stubborn young man who hates losing in anything.
But that's not everything about him. Ryoma can be friendly whenever he feels like being, well, friendly. It's not so common from him but it's not exactly a once in a century situation either. Maybe the cold behavior is one part of his ways to keep people away from him, he doesn't want anyone to find out that yes, he's a half-breed. Not yet, not unless he has a good reason to reveal it. Real smiles and laughter are kind of rare but not impossible from him. He only speaks politely to those who have earned his respect, but it's extremely difficult to earn it from him. If you happen to get it, you absolutely deserve it. If you really want to see an instant reaction from him, try FOOD! He loves it.
History:
A half-breed prince born in the city of hope - maybe it's a good sign for all half-breeds? Echizen Ryoma was born in the castle of Risath to the king and the queen, who happens to be a mage but has the looks of a human. Of course it's always been a huge secret that their own little child is a half-breed, not even the half-brother Ryoga knows this. The only ones who know are Ryoma, Nanjirou and Rinko, really. Most people hate half-breeds so the parents thought that it's better for the child if no one knows. Ryoma actually agrees with it, nowadays, for the most part. It gives an advantage for surprise attacks and other stuff if he feels like using some magics (after he learns some magic in the game, eh...)
So, he's a half-breed, yes, but he's still always been a loved - even adored - second child and little brother. There wasn't a day without much attention to him from those three and yes, maybe he is a spoiled brat because of that. If one or two of them was too busy to spend time with Ryoma, there was always at least one person to make his life fun. Especially the big brother sure kept the little brother running around the castle so Ryoma learned to go around the place very early. And Ryoga has always been a big brother to Ryoma, they don't even know that Rinko isn't Ryoga's real mother.
Every child needs to grow up, even this one. Ryoma interested in magic somewhere in his early teenage. Why? Because it looked like fun. Yes, maybe it was a childish thought but he was a child and didn't know much about reality back then. He's been trying to make his mother teach him some magic for some time now, but Rinko always says no. So, instead of asking about it so often, the boy has decided to learn it on his own way. From someone else or all by himself, his stubborn head doesn't much care, eh.
Nowadays, knowing the hate towards half-breeds and the fact that people on streets of the city are being lead away... Ryoma tries to find away to change those two things. Also, no luck in mage magics by now. Mada mada dane, prince.
