fic_corner Letter!

Dear Writer:

I'm so happy that you were chosen to write for me! Don't worry about displeasing me, as I have very broad tastes. For further squicks, see my Yuletide letter

My chosen fandoms:

American Girls: Molly Molly's one of my alltime favorite characters. Tell me about her adulthood or her teen years in the 50s and 60s. What sort of enthusiasm does she bring to those turbulent times? Does she continue to tapdance? Does she still dream of being a movie star - or does she become one? Does she ever see Emily again? Explore any missing scenes set during their friendship; do they strike up a penpal relationship when Emily returns to England? Who does Emily become? Who was she before the war? I certainly wouldn't mind reading about Molly's friendship with Linda and Susan, her relationship with her dad and mom, or how she deals with her super-pesky brothers.

Forever.... I mostly nominated this because I'm curious as to who Katherine would grow up to be. What have her experiences taught her? Who has she turned into? Feel free to go with any canon pairing you want or just keep her solo.

Little House on the Prarie: I love Laura as a character and as an author. Feel free to go wild with this one, give me some missing scenes, some not-covered-by-the-novels futurefic or AUs. What if Laura HADN'T married a farmer and had indeed decided to ride free on the plains? Tell me more about Almanzo's family and childhood, again, anything that Farmer Boy didn't cover. What about Caroline's youth, her courtship with Charles, her thoughts on the family's many, many journies, her life in old age?

Matilda: Tell me more about Matilda and Jennifer's mother/daughter bond. What's it like having a super telekinetic, super intelligent daughter? Are things always peaceful between them or do they turn stormy when Matilda develops into adulthood? Do things change now that they're pupil and student and mother and daughter at the same time? Tell me what kind of adulthood Matilda ends up with and how she relates to an older Jenny. Does she do anything special with her gifts?

The Tillerman Cycle: I love this family and these books so very much. Something Dicey-centric would mean everything to me. Otherwise, I'd love pre-canon Abigail or post-canon Maybeth.

The Ramona Series: Beverly Cleary: I adore Ramona and would like a peek into her life at any stage or age. Older Ramona and Beezus as guardians/parental figures for their own children and conflicting or relating to each other as sisters? Who does Roberta grow up into? Maybe a romance with Ramona and Yard Ape? Maybe just some gen where she's her kickass self, or is following her natural pathway to artisthood? I love Ramona. Future Ramona, current-canon Ramona, Ramona in relation to her siblings, anything at all. I sort of ship Future!Ramona/Future!Yard Ape, if you want to do anything romance-wise.

Tiger Eyes: Judy Blume: Tell me if Davy ever fully manages to get over the trauma of her father's death. Does she ever meet Wolf again? What does Wolf think of Davy? What does her mother do to learn to ultimately cope - or describe the courtship they undertook together. And what of Davy's brother?

To Kill a Mockingbird: Scout says she never sees Boo again after that fateful night - but what if she did? Who does she become when she grows? Who do Jem and Dill grow up to be? Tell me more of Atticus' successes, his failures, and his developing relationship with Scout - how do they change as time goes on. Backstory, missing scenes, alternate universe fics where Scout and Jem's mom lives; anything you can whip up!

Winnie the Pooh: This is one of my gentler, kinder fandoms. Any adventure with any of the denizens of the hundred acre would would be lovely. Christopher Robin futurefic would also be adorable. I generally enjoy the notion of fluff for this fandom.
