...wow

this is a much more frightening "Keep Out!" sign than "Beware of Dog":

Percidere, puer, moneo; futuere, puella;
barbatum furem tertia poena manet.
Femina si furtum faciet mihi virve puerve,
haec cunnum, caput hic praebeat, ille nates.
Per medios ibit pueros mediasque puellas
mentula, barbatis non nisi summa petet.

"I warn you, boy, you will be screwed; girl, you will be fucked; a third penalty awaits the bearded thief.
If a woman steals from me, or a man, or a boy, let the first give me her cunt, the second his head, the third his buttocks.
My dick will go through the middle of boys and the middle of girls, but with bearded men it will aim only for the top"*

It is a Roman epigram hung about statues of the god Priapus, threatening against the transgression of boundaries 'protected' by the god.

What is says about sexual violence, homosexuality/homophobia... SweetMaryMotherOfFuck!

You'd probably get a long sentence just for posting something like that today.
My how 'society' has changed...

yet are people really so different?
I mean, how many things really scare us more than sexual violence?
And how often are atrocities like this committed?
"Conquest by Penis," or its proxy, in every level of personal and political violence.

I didn't mean to start some huge diatribe, I was just stunned by this and I guess I had to share.

just...wow
